    I enjoyed this book. Well written with good characterisation. A bit curmudgeonly towards the UK poilce force top brass in a very formulaic and lazy stereotyped way but overall a good novel.

    This is an excellent read,it's got so much going for it,I read a lot some are rubbish you know that a few chapters through don't you?but this has a very good plot,characters you relate to very quickly,with their own highs and lows,it's gritty and disturbing in places,but adds to the atmosphere of the story,plenty of twists and turns to keep you page turning to the end .very good.

    Another brilliant book by Robert. He has the most amazing writing style to really draw you in. I must admit I was so hooked I ended up secretly reading in the toilet at work to finish the book! I couldn't wait until the end of the day!! Can't wait to read the third one

    Love these books! Just read this and the first one - The girl in the ice - back to back and about to read the third one! Thoroughly engrossed in the books, it's psychological drama, murder mystery kept me engrossed. DCI Erika reminds me of a female (albeit Slovakian) Luther (as in the BBC series). Can't wait to start the third! Hurry up and write more
