Description

    Really enjoyed it. Found the subject matter at the start to be quite hard-hitting as I wasn't expecting it but I read it in two days because I couldn't put it down

    I have just finished reading the 3rd book in this series and would recommend all three. The story arc over the three books is intricate and the character development really makes you feel for them. Really enjoyed it and will be getting any future books by the author as soon as they're released.

    An enjoyable and well thought out tale which suffers slightly from a narrative that sometimes feels detached from the characters it is portraying "X felt this" could really be elaborated on a more personal note to get us more in touch with the characters. I think this has something to do with the perspective this is written in (third person omniscient) and feel that perhaps a more personal view may have help us to connect with the characters a little more. There is also a little too much or a reliance on cliched metaphor "eyes you could drown in". Nevertheless, as a first book (free and a full length novel to boot) I was very impressed and despite the above, I found it a difficult book to put down and thoroughly enjoyed it from start to finish, and if that alone means a novel has not succeeded in it's ambitions then I don't know what does.

    Ok, so I'm sure there are worse novels out there, but this is still a horrendously trashy book. The characters are unoriginal, the plot is dull and, even worse, it's distinctly unsexy. I'd avoid.
