    Have the book on paperback. Read it a couple of years ago now reading it again. I love it! The way Tolkien writes is just amazing; I can't put the book down. I was dismayed when I watched The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey and The Desolation of Smaug because it's so different. I hate how they put the White Orc in (and the Orcs in general) because there was nothing of the sort in the book. Also, why have they put the film into 3 parts? The book isn't that long, but each film is about 2hours and 50 mins long. Oh well. Looking foreword to reading The Lord of the Rings.

    Purchased my IPad Air very recently with the intention of restarting my love of reading . This is one of the first books I downloaded and I'm afraid to say it has made the film seem like a very pale imitation . The book transported me to lands both wonderful, magical and full of terror yet always with dazzling detail ! As well as this , it introduced characters that you cared about while letting you inside their thoughts . Recommend this book for an excellent read when you feel like getting away from it all . I did read it at school however that was a good few years ago , so nice to be able to revisit Mr Baggins once more !
