About the author

Following college, Peter spent approximately 8 months managing a comic shop and pondering what to do with his life. He then went into medical publishing, squandering ten years of his physical prime sitting in a cubicle. He contented himself with writing books he never hoped to sell.
In June of 2007, his hard work and perseverance paid off, as he sold his 4th novel, THE PAINTED MAN, and in October of 2007, he left his day job to pursue writing full time.
He lives in Brooklyn NY .

    A very gripping story that I couldn't put down. I would recommend this to anyone who loves fantasy books and has a strong stomach as the descriptions in the fight scenes are amazing. Very, very good. I'm now going to start the next one in the series straight away!

    This book is a treat to read. It had me caught up with the storyline and characters from the beginning. It's not very often nowadays that a story stands by itself but this story is one of them. I like this book and would recommend it to anyone. A very worthwhile read.

    From the moment I started to read this book I was gripped, and I was unable to put it down. Definitely worth the 5*'s given. The Author has written brilliantly, I am anxiously awaiting the 3rd instalment.

    A piece of fantastical brilliance. Stumbled across it over a year ago when I came across an article telling how the author wrote a substantial amount of it on his smart phone. A worthy feat, yes? Anyway, this book has it all; great characters, a brilliantly designed world with intriguing cultures, not to mention a magic system that's unique and frankly pretty damn cool. However If you like to spend your nights sleeping, you'd best stay clear of this one. But if you think your body-clock can withstand the change, then grab yourself this amazing read, for try as you may, you WILL sacrifice sleep to read on. It's one of those 3AM jobs for sure!
