Description

Sookie has a murder investigation on her hands. A young girl has died at a vampire party - and it looks as though her lover, Eric, might be responsible. Eric swears he didn't do it, the police don't believe him, and even Sookie isn't so sure. Nor is she inclined to take his word for it, not having caught him enjoying the victim's blood minutes before she was killed.

But something strange is going on. Why had Sookie been asked to come to the fateful party a few minutes early - just to catch Eric in the act? And why had the victim spiked her blood before approaching Eric? Was it simply because she wanted to be irresistible, or was it something more sinister?

Sookie will have to find out . . . but it's the worst moment to investigate, as her Fae family are having troubles of their own and Sookie is, inevitably, drawn in. And there is one last complication. The cluviel dor her grandmother left her. It will grant her one wish, which could fulfil Sookie's heart's desire. The only problem is, she still doesn't know what - or who - her heart truly desires . . .

    After waiting for this book to be released, it was such a let down after reading all the others. Disappointing!

    Ok I guess, a bit disappointing to be honest. No real progression with the story as a whole. Not left wanting more. I loved all the previous books so hoping the next one will be better.

    Loved all the Sookie books from the start and this one didn't disappoint, can't wait for the final book, only downside is I got to wait another year to read it!

    Good read but not as good as other books of the series. I think what makes that book loose points is its slow start , but it gets better in the second half. Again, though, easy solutions that do not make much sense which apparently is a characteristic of the author. All in all if you followed the series, go for it. You may not scream from enjoyment but you will not regret spending time to read it either.

    a little disappointed in this penultimate Sookie Stackhouse book. it was good the story lines were good but it wasn't very long, previous story lines from the other books didn't seem to go any where and it just seemed a bit rushed (the whole book was only set over something like a week). I am very upset the series is coming to an end though and I hope Charlaine Harris has something spectacular but hopefully not too Mary Sue in order for us :)

    You can see that this series is starting to come to an end soon and this book is leading up to the end. Charlaine Harris again fills the book with twists and turns. Look forward to next year for the last in the series

    I have only given the book 3 stars as I can't quite put my finger on what's up with it.... I'm glad she has tied all the loss ends up but it almost feels finnished.....? I can't work out what she's going to do next..... Can't believe I have to wait a hole year for the next book! :( it better be amazing!!
