    Takes me back to my childhood in the midlands in the 80's, the smoky pubs my grandad and dad would go to. The travellers who would sell us carpets, sofas, mac our drive, felt our roof! seems a world away now. A glimpse into the barenuckle world and the traveller community and values.

    A truly inspirational book. Told by a man who's honesty and modesty is first class. A man who lived his life by the beliefs and laws of the travelling fraternity and has to be admired for that. RIP Champ.

    A very interesting read, better than some of the biographies of well known sportsmen. You do have only one side of the story but it's a good holiday read.

    A fascinating insight into the mind of an admirable man. A very honest account of one mans long hard painful realisation and regret. God bless you Bartley you were a true gent that lived and fought with honour and pride you chose to live by the sword and you wielded it till the very end with the utmost dignity total respect.

    A well written and interesting book but a misleading title. Horseman was an irish traveller or Pavee not a gypsy which is a different ethnic group in the UK.
