    Comparing this book and Lance Armstrong's 'confession' to Oprah is like comparing chalk and cheese. Unlike Lance in that interview you can almost hear the contrition in Tyler's words and both co-authors have done an excellent job of putting the reader in the middle of the peloton around that time. The morality of 'everyone is doing it' is of course flawed because everyone wasn't doping to the same extent. Again that is expressed well in this book. I'd recommend this to any fan of cycling as a real insight into a murky few years.

It is not a book just about doping but a glimpse into the incredible journey of what these amazing athletes put themselves through in the hope to achieve the ultimate goal, the Tour de France.

    What a book! I couldn't put it down and read it cover to cover in 2 days. As other reviewers have pointed out, this is not a bash Lance story, instead it's one man's tale of a "win at all costs" culture that I'm sure exists in a great deal of top level sports.
