    A brilliant insight into not only the world of Apple, but the way the company is run from the inside with a surprising amount of information considering the secrecy the organisation is known for. This book paints a great picture of Sir Jony Ive's story from childhood to Senior VP at Apple and provides "behind the scenes" looks at how both the ground-breaking and less-successful products came into being. I would recommend this book to anyone interested in Apple or design, with the book explaining everything excellently so that if you're not familiar with either you fully understand what's been written about. Great job L. Kahney!

    I have thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. Jony's story is extraordinary and I love Apple remarkable tale so reading the story of their most important Designers, was a really cool thing to read! I did love this story and the references from people who know Jony are very good, the one thing that let's down the Author/Publisher/book is that there are a dozen spelling and grammar mistakes and this just annoyed me. Especially since, this book is about a perfectionist designer who works in a clean, simple and perfectionist company. However, this doesn't mean you shouldn't give this story a read!

    I loved this book, I recommend it to anyone who love industrial design or Apple products. It takes you into a look of how Jonathan Ive thinks, works and where he's roots come from, how he got there.

    I am only a fifth of the way in to this wonderfully insightful book on Jony Ive and I can hardly put it down. I will review again once finished but I don't see it losing any stars. As a product designer myself, there are parts I can relate to and others I am in awe of.

    This is essential reading for anyone who wants to understand how the most important consumer products of the last 13 years came to be. What is perhaps most amazing is how much insight the author is able to provide in the face of many restrictions and without having been able to interview his subject. A testament to Mr Kahney's powers of research!

    this book does away with the fanboy stuff and gives a great account of Jony’s life as well as an objective look at his working style. A must read for any Apple or design enthusiast!
