    Having read so many great reviews, I had high hopes for this book. I have to say though, it's very lacking. 50% of this book is testimonials and success stories. And don't get me wrong, there's nothing wrong with one or two because they're good for motivation. But in this book there were so many that it just felt like a lazy attempt to fill the pages. And what this book does, and it does so very, very simply, is tell you what to do. It doesn't tell you why you do it, rather everything is justified with "In my experience..." So you can buy this book and follow the Thiago Alves workout exactly as it says, or otherwise you're out of luck. It doesn't really explain the reasons that you're doing what you're doing. It doesn't tell you how to substitute foods if those in the Alves weight-cut aren't available (a point that is poignant for me as I live in an unknown city in China, where there are no whole foods stores). It basically just says "follow this exact diet blindly, and don't ask any questions." At best, I would describe this book as a good motivator. And chapter one did get me psyched to get into shape. But I don't feel any wiser about nutrition than before I read it. It needs fewer testimonials put there to stroke the Dolce ego, and more information about why you're being recommended the foods and the methods that you are being, and the science behind them. Only then would I feel that it was money well spent.

    Life changing book, delicious meals and the only thing I've tried that works. Feel better and a lot lighter a must buy.
