About the author

Anna Erelle was investigating – on behalf of a desperate mother – the disappearance of a Belgian teenage girl who had flown to Syria. She decided to adopt a pseudonym and see for herself what the online world of jihad was like. A young female journalist, she is still under threat today and cannot reveal her true identity.

    As the book goes on it becomes more intense and I can't keep up with the pace I want to read it at. The terrorist that melodie chats to is really frightening and so persuasive. I don't know much on Isis (only from what I hear in the news) and this book has educated me on that there are different types of groups in this religion. At one point I wanted melodie to go to Syria and meet the terrorist even though I know it is terrible! This book is so gripping. I read the original article and had to read more! Thank you so much😄 Rachid X., aka Abu Bilel al-Firanzi, is still considered to be alive by France’s various departments. This ended shows how the reader really feels, I felt so frightened knowing he is still out there and I hated him even though through the book you grow to like him! Such a good read! Bilel is evil! And it's terrible how these people entice vulnerable and even normal people to o to terrible places which you believe is a somewhat of a safe haven .
