    Fab book, great read but quite disappointed the book ended where it did. Did she ever get on the plane? Maybe a set up for a third book?

    The first third of this book almost made me give up on it - Louisa seemed to have changed so much and lost all vibrancy. I was as irritated with her ( despite her accident ) as her sister was. Mean me - her numbing grief was the point. But I stuck with it as she gradually thawed back to life and the latter part of the book is a real page turner and I now want to hear what happens next in her life! I do though have a few issues with some small things I found hard to believe - like that awful work costume of Lou's, the eccentric behaviour of her parents and the ESTA inaccuracy at the end. Things like that spoil the authenticity for me, somewhat, especially counterpointed with the gritty realities of the dangers faced by Sam and his colleagues. But I know it's easy to gripe - a novel like this is long to write, short to read and I did fall back in love with the warm, quirky Louisa all over again in the end. Please tell us more, Jojo!

    I loved the first book and re read it still. This however... I won't re read. The story line is haphazard, there's about 5 sub plots going on. The characters are not the same in characteristics making it hard to relate. And Louisia? What a let down. I won't give anything away as some may need to read it as I did just to see what happens. I got bored so often I wondered if I would finish the book. It's an absolute let down. A not needed book in my opinion written quickly to cash in on the success of the original which was fab. So let down.
