    This was my first Mark Dawson book and therefore John Milton. I enjoyed it as it was well paced and relevant to that period in London ( I am Scottish living in Dubai but I watch the news) and the gang culture that families and kids get dragged into. Milton is a strong character of whom I will read more and I would say he is a British Jack Reacher as I am a fan of Lee Childs character. George Wilson

    Sharp, tense plotting. Gripping and exciting. With an urban setting that was unusual and intriguing, particularly as it evoked sympathy and established a moral context. Which only made the callous body count a sad let down. Don't introduce rounded, human, sympathetic characters, who give depth to the story, and then slaughter them as cynical collateral damage. That's why this goes from 5 stars to 3, and why I don't think I'll buy the other novels. A shame, as the writing is, otherwise, excellent

    I saw the offer to get this book free, I used to read quite a bit on my trains to/from work, I had it to my ireader on my phone and haven't finished a book so quick in years, it was totally gripping from beginning to end. I highly recommend this John Milton novel.

    First time I have read Mark Dawson novels. Was captured from the start and read the book within 2 days, found it hard to stop reading. Now a converted reader to this author and will definitely be getting the next in the series.

    The cleaner was 'clean' crisp and flows beautifully. Wish I'd read previous books in series! Yet on to the follow on! I'm a 71 yr. old Great Nana that loves the realistic (well, sort of) ex contract killer with a heart!Thanks for a good read . Would recomend your books in these series.
